2 Injured In Late Friday Night Home Blaze In Lakewood

Two people were injured in a home fire that broke out in Lakewood’s Raintree neighborhood at approximately 1:30 AM on Friday night.

Firefighters, police, and Shomrim Shabbos patrol members responded to the scene, assisting a resident of the home who suffered serious injuries, as well as a firefighter who was injured while fighting the blaze.

The unconscious injured resident was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, while the firefighter was transported to Ocean University Medical Center in Brick with minor injuries.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire, which left the home uninhabitable.
