Ronald Carr, the Manchester man who has been charged with 36 counts related to swastikas sprayed on more than a dozen homes in the Pine Lake Park neighborhood, as well as for burning down a home in the area, appears to be deranged fellow who has a long history of getting in legal trouble.
As reported last year by Lakewood Alerts, Carr was taken into custody after being seen peering into the backyards of numerous residences in the area of Sixth Avenue near Cumberland Boulevard in Pine Lake Park. After identifying Carr, police learned that Carr had an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal mischief.
Once Carr was advised of his outstanding arrest warrant, he attempted to flee the scene on foot. After a brief foot chase and struggle, the officers successfully placed Carr under arrest. Carr was subsequently transported to the Manchester Township Police Department and charged with fourth-degree Resisting Arrest.
And in December 2021, Carr fell asleep while driving and smashed his car into a utility pole on Route 166 in Toms River at around 4 am, later admitting to having been under the influence of methamphetamines. Carr wasn’t injured in the accident, but a passenger in his vehicle was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with injuries.
He was charged with possession of illegal substances and received traffic citations for careless driving and driving without a license, but was subsequently released.
