Former NJ Gov. Christie Polling at 0% As He Plans 2024 Run

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has big hopes for 2024. Specifically, he hopes to become the Republican presidential nominee and then president.

The problem is, he has essentially no support nationally from Republicans and that he’s not quite popular, either.

According to a new national Politico/MorningConsult poll, Christie has a 21% approval rating, but 43% disapprove of him and another 18% saying they don’t know who he is.

But the worst number of all is the percentage that want to see his as the GOP nominee: 0%.

Leading the pack for the 2024 nomination are former President Donald Trump with 45% followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 30%, and Mike Pence in a distant third with 7%.

Also included in the poll were Ted Cruz who got 3% support, Mitt Romney (2%), Nikki Haley (2%), Liz Cheney (2%), Josh Hawley (1%), Marco Rubio (1%), and Mike Pompeo (1%).
