Toms River residents came out to applaud Police Chief Mitch Little on Thursday morning as he returned from a two-day suspension related to his ongoing fight with Mayor Dan Rodrick.
The reason for the suspension was not provided, and both Chief Little and Mayor Rodrick said they would not comment publicly about it.
Little and Rodrick have been engaged in a bitter dispute following Rodrick’s decision to cut staff at the police department, saying that the funds are needed to hire more EMTs.
