A Toms River police officer sustained moderate-to-severe injuries after being involved in an accident on the jughandle leading from Route 70 to New Hampshire Avenue.
The officer was riding a police motorcycle at the time. He was flown by a Medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He is listed in moderate condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
