Toms River Man Arrested for Stealing Building Materials

On February 11, the Stafford Township Police Department received a report of theft from the Universal Supply Company, located on East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin.

A thorough investigation revealed that Jesse Vonderlinden, 39, of Toms River, NJ had unlawfully entered the business on multiple occasions between January 13, 2023 and February 11, 2023, and removed over $38,000 of building materials. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On February 15, 2023 this agency received notification from the owner of Universal Supply, that through surveillance cameras, a subject was observed in the supply yard. Patrol Officers immediately responded, at which time Jesse Vonderlinden was seen leaving the area in his vehicle.

Vonderlinden was arrested and charged with multiple counts of Burglary, Criminal Attempt of Theft, and Criminal Mischief. He was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
