Shomrim members on Monday night responded to the area of 7th Street for reports of a fight in progress. Upon arrival approximately 30 seconds later, members learned that the primary suspect had fled moments earlier in a vehicle.
An immediate search commenced, with members fanning out across nearby blocks, with the suspect located shortly thereafter – after crashing his vehicle into another motorist and subsequently starting another fight with his new victim.
Shomrim members were able to de-escelate the situation until Lakewood police officers arrived, who promptly placed the suspect under arrest.
