Senator Robert Singer (R-30) was awarded a plaque yesterday by Lakewood Square for his unwavering advocacy on behalf of senior citizens living in New Jersey’s 30th legislative district.
Singer, an influential senator representing Lakewood since 1993, was honored at the Lakewood Square’s event “Connections” for women of the 55 and up community. While serving in the Legislature, Senator Singer has sponsored critical legislation impacting seniors across New Jersey including the establishment of the Meals on Wheels fund, strengthening the quality of care for residents and veterans in nursing homes, and increasing aid for adult day care facilities and services.
“The work that we do on behalf of our incredible seniors is a testament to our steadfast commitment to making New Jersey a place that is great to live, work, and most importantly retire,” said Sen. Singer. “Many of the initiatives and programs that we’ve supported and established have gone a long way to improving the quality of life of seniors and their families. I look forward to continuing my service as an advocate for the senior community in Lakewood, and across this State. I’m honored to receive this award and I commend Lakewood Square for the great work that they do for women in our 55 and up communities.”
Sen. Singer is vocal member of the Senate Health, Human Services, and Senior Citizens Committee, advocating for quality-of-life improvements for all seniors throughout New Jersey. He additionally serves on the Senate Legislative Oversight Committee, Senate Commerce Committee, and Senate Higher Education Committee.
