NJ’s School Mask Mandate Comes to An End

The mandate on schoolchildren to wear masks in school and on buses in New Jersey is now over.

While the state mandate is over, individual school districts in the state still have the option to require their students to continue wearing masks.

In a press conference last Friday announcing the lifting of the school mask mandate, Governor Murphy told school officials to “use your judgement” in determining mask requirements moving forward.

“Use your judgment, use your common sense, and prepare for the fact that there may be a bad turn,” Murphy said.
