Rep. Jeff Van Drew to Dr. Fauci: Don’t Let the Door Hit You on the Way Out

Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew (NJ-2) vowed to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and medical advisor to President Biden, following Fauci announcing his December retirement.

“Over the last two years, Dr. Fauci has expected the American people to blindly follow his rules and regulations despite him being a federal bureaucrat that is unable to be held accountable by the public,” said Congressman Van Drew. “Dr. Fauci forced businesses to close or lay off workers, forced Americans to wear masks and receive up to five jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine, forced our children to miss out on vital development through in-person learning, and forced Americans to miss funeral services, weddings, and family gatherings. The American people could do nothing as Dr. Fauci responded to the pandemic week after week with new, and often contradicting, guidelines.

“Dr. Fauci and the Biden administration must be investigated. There has yet to be an investigation conducted regarding the origins of the coronavirus, despite countless testimony that this virus was manufactured in a Chinese lab. We must get to the bottom of what role China played in the world-wide outbreak of COVID-19, how much Dr. Fauci knew about its origins, and what kind of research the National Institute of Health (NIH) were conducting in Wuhan, China. Dr. Fauci resigning will not stop Congress from finally getting answers to critical questions for the American public.

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Dr. Fauci.”
