PHOTOS: Lakewood Residents Demonstrate for Equal Rights, Lower Housing Costs

Several dozen Hispanic Lakewood residents demonstrated on Clifton and Forest Avenues on Sunday for equal rights and fairly-priced housing in the township.

“Considering that I can’t afford a home myself, i was thinking of joining in the demonstration,” a non-Hispanic Lakewood resident jokingly remarked. “Housing prices are through the roof for everyone. It’s insane.”

The demonstration is causing traffic in the area. Avoid if possible.

  1. Here’s a fantastic idea, become a citizen and speak English. It’s almost comical to be protesting for equal pay when they can’t speak English. Forget that they land up making more then most other residents because they don’t pay taxes
