PHOTOS: Iran’s Chief Rabbi Visits Lakewood

Rabbi Yehuda Gerami, The Chief Rabbi of Iran, who is currently in the United States as part of a special visit organized by Merkos 302, concluded his visit with a series of special meetings in Lakewood, NJ.

The Chief Rabbi met with Rosh Hayeshiva Rabbi Aryeh Malkiel Kotler and the Skulener Rebbe. The Rosh Yeshiva and Rebbe both expressed their admiration for his efforts on behalf of the Jewish community in Iran including the great help of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia.

The Lakewood meetings were facilitated by Rabbi Avraham Lebovic director Merkoz Dovrei Lashon Hakodesh of Lakewood, Rabbi Chaim Meizlish director of Heichal Menachem Lakewood and Rabbi Shmuel Naparstek, the Chabad Shliach in Jackson.
