New Jersey Police Officer Dies After Being Shot In Line Of Duty

A New Jersey police officer who was shot while on duty back in March has tragically succumbed to his injuries.

27-year-old Officer Robert “Bobby” Shisler passed away on Sunday after being shot during a pedestrian stop on March 10th.

During the stop, Officer Shisler engaged in a foot pursuit with a suspect, and a struggle ensued before gunfire erupted.

The suspect, 24-year-old Mitchell Negron Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene while Officer Shisler was rushed to Cooper Medical Center in a patrol car.

He underwent surgery and was initially reported to be in stable condition, but has now sadly passed away.
