Murphy: NJ “Ready and Able” to Accept Ukrainian Refugees

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy sent a letter to President Joe Biden on Wednesday informing him that the state is prepared and willing to welcome Ukrainian war refugees.

“New Jerseyans have watched in sadness and horror as the free, independent, and democratic nation of Ukraine was invaded by Russia,” Murphy wrote in the letter. “This war of choice, started by Vladimir Putin, is an affront to all of the values that we as Americans hold dear.”

“As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues to uproot hundreds of thousands from their homes, New Jersey stands ready and able to accept refugees from this senseless and cruel conflict.”
