LPD Gets 330 Pounds of Prescription Medications on Drug Take Back Day

The Lakewood Police Department says its drug take back program held this past Saturday brought in 26 boxes of drugs and medications weighing a total of 330 pounds.

The program was part of the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day initiative which aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
