MVA/DWI
On Tuesday August 02, 2022 at 11pm, Officer J. Ganley arrived at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue southbound and Ocean Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. The crash occurred while vehicle was stopped at the traffic light and got rear ended. Driver Servando Hernandez-Mendez 31 years old of Toms River, NJ was arrested for DUI, charged and summonses were issued:
39:4-50 Driving while intoxicated.
39:4-96 Reckless Driving
39:3-29 Failure to exhibit documents (Insurance)
39:3-29 Failure to exhibit documents (Registration)
39:3-10 Unlicensed driver
39:4-51A Open container of alcohol in vehicle.

MVA/ENTRAPMENT
On Wednesday August 3, 2022, Officer S. Ward responded to a Motor Vehicle crash at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Holly Street. Upon arrival, he noticed that multiple occupants were trapped inside of a vehicle. The occupants were extricated and transported for medical attention. Lakewood Traffic Safety responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Also responded to the scene was
