A Lakewood man was taken hostage by a local emotionally disturbed man at a home on 8th Street in Lakewood on Tuesday night.
The disturbed man who had taken the victim hostage may have had a weapon. It isn’t clear what his demands were.
Lakewood police, Hatzolah, and a SWAT team were all at the scene. After an extended period of time, the hostage was released and the emotionally disturbed man was taken by Hatzolah to a hospital for evaluation.
