Lakewood Man Killed in Manchester Motorcycle Crash

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred in the Whiting section of Manchester on Sunday afternoon resulting in the death of a man from Lakewood who was ejected from his motorcycle.

Manchester police say that Roland Same, 28, of Lakewood, was speeding on a 2012 Yamaha FZ8 motorcycle when he lost control on Pasadena Road.

Same was thrown from the bike and struck a nearby thicket of trees. Bystanders rushed to Same’s aid and began CPR before Manchester Township EMS personnel took over and transported him to Community Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Although the investigation into the crash is ongoing, police stated that excessive speed and driver error seem to have been the key factors.
