FIRST REPORT: Jackson Planning Board Approves Cheder Building On Brewers Bridge

A Jackson Cheder building will be coming to Jackson’s Flair neighborhood after the Planning Board approved its application.

According to the submittee plans, the 12 acre site will have a two-story structure built on it which will contain 54 classrooms, 6 self-contained classrooms, 36 tutor rooms, nearly two dozen offices, as well as a dining room, warming kitchen, gym, bais medrash, and library.

Under the plans, the building will be able to hold about 1,400 students.

Although there are neighbor concerns about a school building being placed in the neighborhood, the application was fully conforming, meaning the Planning Board had no choice but to approve it.
