Brick Street Crimes Unit Arrests Two Drug Dealers After Lengthy Investigation

The Brick Township Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU) with the assistance of the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force, executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence on Lenape Trail in Brick Township. The warrant was a result of a two-month investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics throughout Brick Township.

Roy John Pickell Jr, 64, of Brick Township and Joseph Coiro, 59, of Whiting, were arrested upon execution of the warrant.

Detectives seized heroin, cocaine, furosemide, diazepam, two digital scales and several miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia. Pickell and Coiro were both charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of furosemide, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pickell and Coiro were processed at Brick Police Headquarters and lodged in Ocean County Jail.
