Truck Downs Wires, Knocks Out Power for 1,500 in Lakewood

Hundreds of homes and businesses were without power in the area of New Hampshire Avenue after a truck crashed and took down electric wires on Oberlin Avenue.

Police, Chaveirim, and Shomrim units are in the area to help direct traffic. The fire department was on scene for people trapped in an elevator on Boulevard of the Americas.

JCP&L says it expects to restore power by 4 pm.
