Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fled his crashed vehicle and has not been seen since.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Monday morning at East County Line and Squankum Road in Lakewood, when a red SUV slammed into a residence. The driver reportedly ran out of the vehicle, then ran back, grabbed a gun and fled.
Police responded to the scene and found ammunition and other gun-related paraphenelia in the vehicle. A K-9 was called in to assist in finding the suspect, but the trail went cold.
