Jackson Twp. Council Tables Real Estate Sign Ordinance, Again

For the third time, the Jackson Township Council has tabled an ordinance that would have placed severe limits on real estate signs around town.

The Council passed the first reading of most recent version of the ordinance at its meeting in May, but on Tuesday night tabled the resolution prior to a vote on the second reading.

The tabling of the ordinance means that it will likely have to be revised yet again if officials still want to pass it.

Numerous people in the township have accused officials of creating the ordinance to appease anti-Semites who seek to make it more difficult for Orthodox Jews to move into the township.
