Fundraiser Launched For Manchester Family Whose Home Was Burned Down In Suspected Hate Crime

At 8 am on Wednesday morning, a family in the Pine Lake Park neighborhood of Manchester received a devastating call from the Manchester Police Department: their new home had been burned down.

The family, does not have builder’s insurance to help them recover from the loss and they are devastated that all the work they put into building their new home is gone.

“You could only imagine the toll it has taken on our family [and on] our 10 and 2-year-old daughter’s to see our dream burn to flames,” the family said on a fundraiser page. “We appreciate any and all help as we plan to rebuild our family home again.”

Donations can be made by clicking here.

The victims of the house fire are not Jewish. However, a suspect taken into custody on Wednesday is suspected of doing it – as well as spray-painting swastikas on multiple homes – out of bias.
