New Jersey Toll Collector’s “Bad Gut Feeling” Saves Her From Crash

A New Jersey woman’s intuition may have saved her life after she called out of work due to a premonition that something bad was going to happen.

Jessica Daley, who works as a toll collector a the Barnegat tolls, woke up with a “bad gut feeling” this past Friday morning. At around 4 a.m. she says she felt she was going to get in a car accident, which led her to call out of work.

Hours later, a garbage truck crashed into the toll plaza where she works, injuring a toll collector and the truck driver. Daley’s booth was the one that was hit.

“I dropped to my knees and just started crying,” she told reporters.

The crash is still under investigation by state police. The injured toll collector was released from the hospital on Friday.
