Woman Kidnapped At Knifepoint, Assaulted In Toms River Parking Lot

A 21-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and weapon possession after a violent attack on a woman in the parking lot of an Aldi store on Sunday.

According to police, Luis Morenogutierrez kidnapped the woman at knifepoint and assaulted her, leaving her unconscious at a different location. The victim was treated at a hospital for her injuries.

Morenogutierrez was arrested by the Englewood Police Department and is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
