Lakewood Shomrim received reports of a stolen vehicle on Monday night, prompting an immediate response from members who began to canvass the area for it.
Minutes later, Shomrim received another report of a suspicious vehicle several miles away from the original scene. Additional members responded to the second scene and quickly ascertained that the suspicious vehicle in question was the one that had been stolen a short time prior.
The vehicle was stopped a short time later at a nearby gas station and Lakewood police officers placed the woman responsible for the vehicle theft under arrest.
