Bikur Cholim leadership and volunteers gathered on Thursday at Wellpoint New Jersey’s Community Resource Center in Lakewood to celebrate its new sponsorship of Bikur Cholim, highlighting the organizations’ shared commitment to service, compassion, and community well-being.
The ceremony, which included the participation of Plan President of Wellpoint New Jersey Dr. Patrick Fox, featured the unveiling of branded jackets and essentials provided by Wellpoint for Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim’s volunteers. These items will support the volunteers in their mission to offer vital assistance, from advocacy and guidance through the hospital system to providing food pantries and Shabbos accommodations for families of patients.
Community members also learned about the services offered at Wellpoint’s Resource Center, which provides assistance with Medicaid enrollment, NJ FamilyCare, and health education programs.
