WATCH: Tisha B’Av 5784: Guidance from the Gedolim

As we approach Tisha B’Av during these tumultuous times, we spoke to members of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah for guidance on properly observing and mourning on this important day.

The gedolim were asked: We are living in perhaps unprecedented times, with Klal Yisroel and Eretz Yisroel facing challenges seemingly all around us. If, chas v’shalom, this year’s Tisha B’Av must once again be observed as a solemn taanis, what is the proper hashkafah for a Yid to have while doing so? And how do we balance and combine the feelings of mourning, hope, and faith all at once?

In the following video, we are zocheh to hear from: HaRav Shmuel Kamenetsky, Rosh HaYeshiva, Yeshiva of Philadelphia Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah; HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rosh HaYeshiva, Yeshivas Slabodka Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, Eretz Yisroel; HaRav Elya Brudny, Rosh Yeshiva, Mirrer Yeshiva Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah; HaRav Aharon Dovid Goldberg, Rosh HaYeshiva, Telshe Yeshiva Cleveland Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah; HaRav Yosef Frankel, Vyelipoler Rebbe Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah; HaRav Yakov Horowitz, Rosh HaYeshiva, Yeshivas Beis Meir Chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
