A protestor used an invite-only event celebrating the Lunar New Year holiday at the governor’s mansion to attack Gov. Murphy for his support of Israel.
A video clip of the scene shows Murphy conversing with attendees at the event when a protestor begins lecturing the governor.
“As our governor, you have the responsibility to disband the New Jersey-Israel Commission immediately,” the protestor shouts at Murphy, accusing him of “funneling genocidal money into our state.”
She went on to talk about how “Rafah was bombed” – she’s referring to the rescue operation that freed two Israeli hostages, Fernando Marman and Louis Har, on Monday.
The governor did his best to ignore the woman, finally telling her that he’s not going to discuss the war in Gaza at the event.
“You want a picture or not?” the governor tells her.
The governor’s staffers are then seen telling the woman to shut up, but she refuses. Security is then seen forcibly escorting the hysterically screaming pro-Hamas maniac out of the premises.
Shocking to see the Lunar New Year celebrations at the Governor’s mansion hijacked by several individuals seeking a political confrontation.
Thank you Governor Murphy for standing in support of Israel and not backing down in the face of pressure.— Shlomo Schorr (@OneJerseySchorr) February 14, 2024
