Voters Approve New Firehouse In Jackson Fire District #2

Jackson Township residents have voted in favor of a referendum to construct a new firehouse for Jackson Fire District #2.

In a statement, district leaders thanked community members for participating in the process. “We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our residents who took the time to come out, ask questions, and vote on this important question,” the statement read.

The project, which officials say will take several years to complete, marks the beginning of what they describe as “a new age for Jackson Fire.” District officials pledged to keep residents updated on the project’s progress.

“Our current firehouses are always open to our residents,” the district added, noting that both career and volunteer staff are available to answer questions. “We welcome those who want to make a difference and become a part of our family.”

  1. More taxes to cater to the no paying new residents of Jackson. Granted we need upgrades, but an entire new building? Seems like a heck of a lot of money to spend, of course the newcomers won’t use the EMS services, they are too good for the likes of commoners like us. 🤣🤣🤣
