SEE IT: Viral ‘Lion in Lakewood’ Video Sparks Concern—But It’s Just a Marketing Stunt

A jaw-dropping video appearing to show a lion roaming the parking lot of Gourmet Glatt North sent social media into a frenzy on Tuesday morning. The footage, which quickly spread online, sparked concern among residents and shoppers who feared a dangerous animal was being filmed in the area. However, there’s no need to worry—the lion was never real.

The video was actually a brilliant CGI creation by Regal Scope Productions, a local production agency known for its high-end visual effects work. The clip was originally shared on LinkedIn by Mordy Weinberg, a project manager at the agency, who made it abundantly clear that the video was digitally generated.

However, the situation took a turn when the clip was shared without its original context, leading many to believe it was an authentic sighting. As a result, concerned citizens reached out to authorities and Gourmet Glatt, inquiring about safety measures.

So, to everyone who was worried—rest assured, Lakewood is still lion-free.
