Chaveirim of Central Jersey volunteers were called in to assist with cleanup and traffic control after a vehicle struck a telephone pole on the southern side of the Cross and Prospect intersection.
The intersection is one at which many vehicles drive around others that are preparing to turn left from Cross onto Prospect. It appears that the driver involved in the MVA was doing just that but miscalculated and struck a nearby pole.
There were no injuries in the accident, but traffic lights in the area had their power knocked out, causing frustrating traffic jams along both Cross and Prospect.
