The annual July 4th fireworks display at ShoreTown Ballpark – the home of the Lakewood BlueClaws – went awry tonight when a fire broke out during the festivities.
The cause of the fire was not immediately made clear, but appeared to have been sparked by a malfunctioning firework.
No injuries or serious damage have been reported as of this writing.
