Dozens of bochurim from Rav Chanina Brudny and Rav Chaim Zalman Hertzka’s yeshiva in Lakewood were flown to Eretz Yisroel along with their roshei yeshiva on an all-expenses paid trip sponsored by anonymous philanthropist to reward the bochurim for having adhered to certain requirements.
Those requirements included shmiras hatefillos and no talking by davening, attending a biur and hilchos tefillah shiur and passing tests given on the subject matter, and other criteria.
