A blaze tore through an apartment complex at 226 Cedarbridge Ave. overnight Friday, displacing many residents.
Firefighters were called to the scene shortly before 3 AM and immediately encountered heavy flames leaping from the building.
All residents were safely evacuated and the flames were doused with mutual aid from Jackson, Brick and other fire districts.
The Red Cross has responded to the scene to assist with sheltering, clothing and feeding the displaced residents.
