UPDATE: Suspects in Lakewood Vehicle Burglary Busted by Shomrim Members

Thanks to dedicated and skilled Shomrim members, a suspect has been placed under arrest in connection with a vehicle burglary in Lakewood on Friday night.

As previously reported, a burglar broke into a vehicle parked on Courtney Road on Friday night, making away with expensive and important items, including a luxury coat, wallets, and credit cards.

After obtaining surveillance footage from the burglary, Shomrim members on a routine patrol last night noticed the suspect from the burglary.

They members conducted surveillance on the suspect him well into the confines of Toms River, and alerted police to his location.

The suspect was detained by Toms River police officers for separate attempted burglaries carried out by the suspect in the township, in addition to the Friday night burglary committed in Lakewood.

The second suspect was arrested moments ago by the Lakewood Police Department SWAT team.
