Toms River Man Dies After Being Fatally Injured In Boating Accident

A 53-year-old Toms River man, Kenneth Halvorsen Jr., lost his life on Monday afternoon in a boating accident in Raritan Bay, according to the New Jersey State Police.

At approximately 1:53 p.m., State Police troopers responded to a report of a motorboat circling erratically in the waters off Sayreville. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered that the small motorboat had run aground, resulting in the fatal injury of Halvorsen, who was the sole occupant of the vessel.

The incident is currently under investigation, and authorities have not yet released the exact cause of death or details about the boat, including its type and length.
