TODAY: New Traffic Signal Goes Live on County Line and Teaberry

A traffic signal that has been in the works for a number of years is finally going live on Tuesday at the intersection of County Line Road and Teaberry – the site of many crashes and close calls over the years.

Discussions for the installation of a traffic signal began in earnest in 2016 after a petition to place one at the dangerous intersection was signed by more than 500 area residents.

After the Ocean County Engineering Department conducted its work at the intersection to determine how a traffic signal would affect traffic patterns and whether it would help motorists, the signal was bid out in September 2021, with road work beginning shortly thereafter.
