A joyous hachnosas sefer torah will be held today in memory of 9-year-old Mintza Leah Gross a”h, a young girl who was tragically niferes in a horrific car accident in Toms River last year, and whose first yahrtzeit will be marked this week.
Mintza Leah a”h was traveling in a van headed to her school on December 28, 2021, when the vehicle veered off the road and slammed into a tree at North Bay and Whitty Road. Hatzolah medics rushed her to Community Medical Center in Toms River, but she was sadly unable to be saved.
Shortly after her petirah, a campaign was launched to write a sefer torah in her memory and to serve as an aliyas neshama. The hachnosas sefer torah for the sefer written for Leah a”h is finally coming to fruition.
The ksivas osiyos will take place at 12 pm Sunday at the Gross home, 71 N. Crest Place in Lakewood. The hachnosas sefer torah will be at 3 pm, going from Olive Court on the corner of White Road to the Lutzk Bais Medrash at 520 New Egypt Road.
