TODAY: 1st Yahrtzeit Of Lakewood Couple R’ Eli And Raizy Neydavoud Z”L

Today, 6 Shevat, marks the first yahrtzeit of Eli (Eliyahu ben Chaim Yitzchak) and Raizy (Raizel bas Dovid Mordechai) Neydavoud z”l, the young Lakewood couple who tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident on the Garden State Parkway one year ago.

The couple, both in their early 30s, were traveling to a wedding on the night of 6 Shevat 5783 when their vehicle collided with a snowplow near mile marker 104.2 in Tinton Falls, tragically killing them both. Adding to the sorrow, Raizy a”h was eight months pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Eli z”l, a Los Angeles native, was one of eight children of R’ Chaim Yitzchak and Jasmin Neydavoud. Raizy a”h, originally from Lakewood, was the daughter of R’ Dovi and Mrs. Sarah Rothenberg.

Their untimely petirah stunned Lakewood and Jews across the world. Their families, friends, and the Lakewood community continue to remember their kindness, warmth, and devotion.

Yehi Zichram Baruch.
