Thousands Without Power In Lakewood, Jackson, Toms River For Second Consecutive Day

Thousands of Lakewood, Jackson, and Toms River homes and businesses were without power on Tuesday evening, as the town was hit by yet another electricity outage – the second in two days, as a heat wave continues to suffocate the region.

Askanim, including Assemblyman Avi Schnall, have been working to have JCP&L upgrade their infrastructure, which is woeful in the Lakewood area when factoring in the growth of the local townships. Recently, Assemblymen Schnall and Kean, along with Sen. Bob Singer, issued a joint press release demanding legislative hearings into JCP&L’s failings.
