An initiative to complete the entire Shas – Bavli and Yerushalmi – l’iluy nishmas Maran HaMashgiach, Rav Matisyahu Salomon zt”l, has been announced for the upcoming Ma’amad Adirei HaTorah. Thousands of Adirei HaTorah are eagerly signing up.
The loss of the Mashgiach remains fresh in the minds of all the bnei Hayeshiva. Rav Matisyahu zt”l meant a great deal to world Jewry, but nowhere is his absence felt as keenly as in Bais Medrash Govoha, the yeshiva he saw as his primary focus. At Bais Medrash Govoha, he dedicated himself to teaching, guiding, encouraging, and elevating the talmidim. Above all, he worked tirelessly to raise the honor of each and every ben Torah.
The siyum at the Ma’amad Adirei HaTorah has always been a highlight, celebrating an outpouring of ahavas haTorah by the tens of thousands assembled. Dedicating this year’s siyum to the beloved and unforgettable Mashgiach is a profound way to honor his memory. Celebrating the siyum at a Ma’amad designed to elevate the honor of the bnei Torah – one of his lifelong goals – is a fitting tribute and a demonstration of hakaras hatov for all he did for us.
