WANTED PERSON
October 17, 2024, Officer Bryan Vega while conducting a business check of 105 Cedar Bridge Avenue, an erratic driver sped at a high rate of speed on Cedar Bridge Avenue. The officer was able to close the gap and conduct a traffic stop and request Dispatch to check for warrants. Dispatch confirmed an active warrant for the driver Daniel Rodriguez, 20, from Toms River. N.J., and he was subsequently arrested.
Sergeant Edgardo Vega assisted in the investigation.

DRUGS
October 20, 2024, Officer Conner Woods patrolled the area near Main Street and Cedarbridge Avenue when he recognized Hector Reyes, 51, from Lakewood, NJ. They had previous encounters related to drug offenses. Reyes walked to a parked vehicle, entered the driver’s side, and drove off. Knowing that Reyes had no valid driver’s license, Officer Woods initiated a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that Reyes had drugs, leading to his arrest on multiple related charges.
Officer Alexander Lopez, and Robert Meyer Jr., assisted in the investigation.

DWI
October 23, 2024, Detectives Matthew Richardson and Tyler Bennett were in the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Oak Street, and they were traveling behind a careless vehicle. Officer Nicholas Cusanelli in a marked patrol car was dispatched to assist with the traffic violation. Lucio Martinez-Sampayo, 34, from Palatine, Illinois was arrested for DWI. He was charged with reckless driving, DWI, open alcoholic beverages, and other related charges.
Officers Brandon Burkhardt and Ryan Dancy assisted in the investigation.

DRUGS/DWI
October 24, 2024, Officer Michael Sheehan was patrolling the area of Clifton Avenue and Second Street when he noticed a vehicle traveling without headlights or taillights. He conducted a traffic stop, and the driver, identified as Elder Mejia-Martinez, 25, from Lakewood, N.J., could not communicate in English. Officer Alexander Lopez provided translation assistance. Mejia-Martinez was subsequently arrested for DWI, and search incident to arrest, drugs were discovered. He was charged with DWI, possession of CDS, careless driving, reckless driving, and other related offenses.
Officers Nicholas Cusanelli, and Sean Capper assisted in the investigation.
