DRUGS
February 17, 2024, at 10 p.m., Officer Connor Woods was patrolling in the area of Main Street and observed a U-Haul truck in the parking lot idling. The vehicle was brought to the officer’s attention by a bolo from another department, which made mention of a U-Haul truck that was not returned to the owner. The officer made contact with the driver Gregory Brown, 53, from Lakewood, N.J., and requested dispatch to check him for warrants. Dispatch confirmed an active warrant and Brown was subsequently arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed possession of drug paraphernalia.

FRAUD
February 22, 2024, at 6 p.m., Officer Michael Livingston responded to TD Bank on Madison Avenue for a fraud report. Alex Rodriguez-Roldon, 43, from Bronx, N.Y. was arrested for presenting fraudulent documents, a warrant, and a search incident to arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. Rodriguez-Roldon was brought into headquarters and processed.

Officers Nadine Clarke, Sean Ward, and Kevin Jacobs assisted in the investigation.

WANTED PERSON
February 24, 2024, at 5 p.m., Officer Connor Woods was in the area of Main Street and observed Eduardo Rivera, 60, from Lakewood. N.J. The Officer recognized Rivera from previous encounters and requested dispatch to check for warrants. A warrant was confirmed and Rivera was subsequently arrested and processed.

Officers Joseph Mandelbaum, Derek McAvoy, and Gary Weaver assisted in the investigation.

DWI/MVA
February 23, 2024, at 9:30 p.m., Officer John Pannone responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of River Avenue. Joseph DeSilva, 60, from Forked River, N.J. was arrested for DWI and charged with related offenses.

Officers Sean Capper, Jacob Matthews, Steven Kowalski, and Eric Vega assisted in the investigation.

TERRORISTIC THREATS
February 27, 2027, at 6 p.m., Officer Felix Rivera responded to WAWA on E. County Line Rd for a disturbance in the plaza. Grayder Perez-Melgar, 32, from Howell, N.J. was arrested for Terroristic Threats. After conducting further investigations, Officer Rivera discovered that a threat had been made using a weapon, causing the victim to feel fear for his life. As a result of this, Melgar was taken into custody, processed, and transported to OCJ.

Sergeant Matthew Rivera, Officers Ryan Laird, and Adam Bylsma assisted in the investigation.
