The Lakewood Police Department’s Weekly Blotter

October 24, 2023, at 4 p.m., Officers Jeffrey Emmons and Joseph Soriano were in the area of 1st. Street and Madison Avenue and observed Jason Barone, 40, from Lakewood. N.J. from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed an active Lakewood warrant and Barone was subsequently arrested.

October 25, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., Officers Joseph Soriano and Jeffrey Emmons were in the area of N.J. Transit Bus Terminal and observed Marcos Rivera-Rodriguez, 25, from Lakewood, N.J. from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed an active Lakewood warrant and Rivera-Rodriguez was subsequently arrested. During the search incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was found in his possession, and he was charged accordingly.

Officer Kevin Seunath assisted in the investigation.

October 28, 2023, at 5 a.m., Officer Kyle Carrington patrolled the area of Cross Street and the security guard advised him of a vehicle that was in the lot. The officer observed Erick Baculimacuesta, 23, from Jackson, N.J. outside his vehicle assessing fresh front-end damage. Baculimacuesta was arrested for DWI and charged with the following: Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Refusal, Failure to report an accident, and Leaving the scene of an accident.

Officers Dawry Desangles, Bryan Vega, and Nicholas Cusanelli assisted in the investigation.


September 12, 2023, at 11 p.m., the Street Crimes Unit was in the area of Clifton Avenue and observed Charles Barrios, 62, from Jackson, NJ in a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Barrios was arrested and charged with the following: Wandering Procuring, and Use Possession of Paraphernalia.

Detective Sergeant Nate Reyes and Richard Uriarte assisted in the investigation.

September 25, 2023, at 1 a.m., the Street Crimes Unit was in the of Cross Street and observed a Bernard Proctor, 45, from Lakewood, NJ in a vehicle loitering in the area for CDS. The Officer conducted a traffic stop and CDS was in plain view, subsequently, Proctor was arrested and charged with the following: Possession of Narcotics.

Detectives Charles Messer, Eric Cicerello, Adam Bylsma, Tyler Bennett, and Alex Guzman, Jr., assisted in the investigation.
