October 13, 2023, At 10 p.m., Officer Richard Uriarte responded to the area of MLK and Pine St. for an erratic driver. Francisco Tochihuitl-Jaimez, 45, from Lakewood, NJ was arrested for DWI and charged with the following: Reckless Driving, Refusal, Open Alcoholic Beverage, and Unlicensed Driver.
Captain Gregory Staffordsmith, Sergeant Tyler Distefano, Officers Kevin Jacobs, and Brian Guzman assisted in the investigation.
DWI
October 14, 2023, At 1 a.m., Officer Adam Rihacek patrolled the area of 780 Ocean Avenue and observed a vehicle swerving and hitting a curb. Walter Chacon Taures, 32, from Lakewood, NJ was arrested for DWI and charged with Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Failure to Stay in Marked Lane.
Sergeant Tyler Distefano and Brian Guzman assisted in the investigation.
WANTED PERSON
October 19, 2023, At noon, Officer Gregory Cannon and Officer Stephen Kowaleski responded to the NJ Transit bus terminal for an intoxicated male. Dispatched confirmed outstanding warrants for Steven Reeves, 61, Lakewood, NJ. He was arrested and brought in for processing.
Officers Matthew Mckee and Jeffrey Emmons assisted in the investigation.
WANTED
October 20, 2023, At 3 p.m., Officer Adam Rihacek patrolled the area of Lexington Avenue and observed Diana Ruiz, 41, from Lakewood, NJ, from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed an active out-of-county warrant, and Ruiz was arrested and transported to OCJ.
Officer Brian Guzman assisted in the investigation.
