The Lakewood Police Department’s (Sometimes) Weekly Blotter

DRUGS
July 12, 2023 – At 10 pm, Officer Brandon Burkhardt was patrolling the area of Massachusetts Avenue. The officer observed a reckless driver and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Luis Hernandez-Martinez, 31, from Lakewood, NJ was arrested and charged with the following: Possession Narcotic, Possession of Paraphernalia, and given multiple summonses.

Lt. Kevin Doyle, Sgt Erik Miick, Officer Nicholas Romeo, and Brian Guzman assisted in the investigation.

WANTED PERSON
July 14, 2023 – At 4 pm, Officer Matthew McAvoy was in the area of 2nd Street and observed Diana Ruiz, 40, from Lakewood, NJ from previous interactions. Dispatched confirmed an active warrant out of Lakewood and Ruiz was arrested, processed, and lodged in Ocean County Jail.

Officers Joseph Mandelbaum, Derek McAvoy, Jacob Matthews, and Kyle Carrington assisted in the investigation.

DRUGS
July 14, 2023 – At 11 pm, Officer Bryan Vega was flagged down by a concerned citizen in the area of Rt. 70, the WAWA parking lot, for a male sleeping in his vehicle, William Doyle, 58, from Bricktown, NJ. The officer did a well-being check and in plain sight officer discovered paraphernalia. Doyle was arrested for DRUGS and charged with the following: Possession of CDS, Possession of Narcotic, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Lt. Jason Pederson, Officer Joseph Rusk, and William Bowers assisted in the investigation.
