Lakewood’s famed mashgiach Rav Mattisyahu Salomon shlit”a has been transported via helicopter to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) as his condition continues to worsen.
The mashgiach has been seriously ailing in recent weeks, with Hatzolah paramedics responding to his home on 6th Street multiple times.
In the past few days, the mashgiach has suffered numerous medical incidents, including seizures and aspirating.
When the mashgiach suffered seizures again on Friday, the decision was made to airlift him to the hospital known for its high quality medical care for testing and treatment.
