TEHILLIM: 12-Year-Old Lakewood Girl Struck At Route 9 And Chestnut In Dire Need Of Rachamei Shamayim

A 12-year-old Lakewood girl who was struck by a pickup truck at approximately 7:30 PM Thursday at the corner of Route 9 and Chestnut is in critical condition with a brain bleed.

In a public message, the family wrote: “Our 12-year-old daughter, Batsheva Esther bas Deena Zahava is in her 2nd brain surgery now. She was r”l hit by a pickup truck on Thursday and is in critical condition. They operated on Friday to drain the pressure on her brain, but it built up again today and she stopped breathing twice. Please daven for her now and do any zchusim you can. Thank you, and may we share besuros tovos bkarov.”

Anyone with information or footage of the accident is requested to come forward with it.

  1. That corner (rt 9 and cross/chestnut) is an extremely dangerous corner. Last year a mother and daughter were hit. The township is aware of the dangers but nothing has been done, other than approve a local media company to put up a huge digital display at the corner which distracts drivers.
